Tells a coming-of-age story in a town 100 kilometers from Buenos Aires... a group of five friends around 13 or 14-years-old begin to understand that life is not simply about riding bicycles, playing soccer games, or, if they can, staying out of trouble during the long hot summer.

Guido works under his father’s orders and is sometimes rewarded with a beating.
Damian is an adopted child and, as such, suffers from an identity crisis.
Matias is left outside his own house every night by his hateful parents.
Alejo discovers that his mother has a lover and that women have desires and men have their failures.
Esteban is the goal-keeper of the football team and, as such, is looked-up to among his friends. Esteban draws his generosity from his family.

These best buddies spend alot of time on the steps a women's hairdressing salon and dream about places outside of their small town. The 100 miles to Buenos Aires seems so far away. But between the talk about sex, and a curiosity about women, they still have to deal with their parents, the girls in town, and limitations where they live. As long kept secrets get revealed, loyalties become strained, and the group is on the verge of splitting up until a soccer game with the older bullies pulls them back together.
